It was a big night for the Bosa brothers.
A little after 6:30 p.m. PT, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported, citing league sources, that Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman Joey Bosa had agreed to a record-setting five-year, $135 million contract extension.
Less than an hour later, Joey's younger brother Nick was named as the No. 17 ranked player in the NFL's Top 100.
And the 49ers used the announcement of Nick's ranking as a chance to take a fun shot at Joey's growing back account.
Dinner will be on Joey for a limited time. At some point in the next few years, the 49ers and Nick likely will come to an agreement on a new contract that will surpass Joey's deal.

Nick Bosa is on pace to become one of the best defensive players in the NFL, and he could claim that title sooner rather than later. The No. 2 overall draft pick last year, Bosa was named the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year and earned his first Pro Bowl selection, though he didn't play in the game because the 49ers made it to Super Bowl LIV.
Nick's ranking at No. 17 on the NFL's Top 100 list is the highest for any rookie defender.
A reminder that the ranking is based on votes by NFL players themselves, so they already realize how good the younger Bosa brother is.

Once the coronavirus pandemic is over and it's safe to go to restaurants again, we'll definitely be curious to see where Joey takes Nick for that nice meal.
