Pregnant Married At First Sight star Jules Robinson has revealed that a shocking message a troll recently sent her on Instagram did not violate the website's community guidelines.

The 36-year-old explained on Wednesday that she'd asked her followers to report the troll for bombarding her with abusive messages, including, 'Did your baby die yet?'

But several of Jules' fans received automated messages from Instagram stating that the troll hadn't broken any rules.

While Jules was disappointed by the app's initial response, she is hopeful things will improve when she meets with Instagram representatives later this week.

'I've got a meeting with Instagram on Friday... they have been fantastic and they're going to share with me what they do within this area [online bullying],' she said.

'Unfortunately a lot of you reported that [troll's] page and then a lot of you sent me a screenshot of what was sent back to you that said pretty much, "People express themselves differently."'

Jules said she did not agree with this, arguing that Instagram current rules permit 'freedom of hate, not freedom of speech'.

She added: 'By no means do I want to ban trolls off the face of the Earth... but I do believe there should be consequences and they should be monitored.'

Jules concluded by saying that some trolls 'need help' for mental health issues.

Later, she shared the full version of Instagram's automated response to complaints about the troll.

It stated: 'We found that this account likely doesn't go against our Community Guidelines. If you think we made a mistake, please report it again.

'Because Instagram is a global community, we understand people may express themselves differently. We'll use your feedback to make this experience better for everyone.

'If you don't want to see [the troll] on Instagram, you can unfollow, mute or block them to hide their posts and comments from your feed.'

Jules then said she would be taking the incident further 'for every single person that has been affected by repetitive online trolling: the bullied little kid, the struggling teenager, the reality TV personality that is targeted, public figures, my unborn child, anyone that is repeatedly tormented.'

Last week, she called for cyber bullying to be recognised as a criminal offence.

She uploaded a screenshot of a cruel message she'd received, which read: 'Did your baby die yet? I have a feeling you just got fat again? I hope you have a painful miscarriage. Fat and ugly. Praying for your miscarriage.'

At the time, she said that things had gone well past the point of 'freedom of speech'.

She added: 'A while ago, I put up a [Instagram] Story saying how I'd like to make the changes to online bullying.

'Certain things should be a criminal offence, and some people should be banned from social media for six months - and if they keep on doing, it's a serious criminal rule that they are breaking!'

Jules continued: 'This message I got is just the kind of thing I'm talking about.

'I'm not talking about freedom of speech and having an opinion because... I always have an opinion on things but what that person has done to me is purely just hurt me and my feelings.

'It is completely wrong and disgusting, and this shouldn't happen. I would like your support, and I would like you to report that page and get it shut down!'

Jules, who is expecting her first child with husband Cameron Merchant, recently shared a defiant message directed at her trolls.

'Dear Trolls, I apologise that my happiness and how I choose to live my purpose driven life offends you so much, it leads you to have the need to write such explicit horrible things to me,' she began.

'I hope you can put the energy you put into this, into yourself.'

Jules went on to say that 'happy' people have 'no room for jealousy', adding: 'Sorry to break it to you, but I will continue to be me, 100 per cent me so best not look.'
