Monica Lewinsky has emerged as the unofficial winner of the internet by joking about her affair with Bill Clinton on Twitter.
The 47-year-old former White House intern offered her take on the trending “I have a joke” competition Friday on the social media site, where users explained why they wouldn’t reveal their jokes, The Guardian reported.
She wrote: “i have an intern joke and it… nevermind.”
Lewinsky’s not-so-subtle reference about her sexual relationship with the then-president in the 1990s came in response to a post by Nell Scovell, creator of the TV series “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.”
“I have a Charles Manson joke and it kills,” Scovell wrote.
Other notable entries included Gautam Menon’s “I have an epidemiology joke but it hasn’t yet gone viral,” Dr. Karishma Kaushik’s “I have a microbiology joke, but not sure if it is ‘cultured,’” and A. Whitney Brown’s “I have an IKEA joke, but it needs a setup.”
But, at least according to Mia Farrow, Lewinsky’s comment was tops.
“Monica wins the internet,” the 75-year-old actress said.
By Monday morning, Lewinsky’s post had been liked more than 525,000 times.
