ELMIRA, New York — Sometimes a simple joke can be all it takes to bring a smile to someone's face, which can be especially important in these tough times.
NBC affiliate WETM spoke with a man who's drumming up eye-rolling dad jokes in order to spread some join in his community and across the country.
For the past 100 days, Woody Latour has been lifting spirits by hanging his "daily dad jokes" on the porch at his New York home — as well across the country through his Facebook page.
"It's a fun thing, and we've had so many responses," Latour said. "My daughter drove by a house and saw that these people had a joke of the day outside of their home. She sent it to me, and I said, "Hey, we can do that here."
But WETM reporter Matt Paddock couldn't leave without testing Latour's dad joke knowledge.
