Heat troll Sixers with savage Jimmy Butler tweet - ClutchPoints

The Philadelphia 76ers suffered a four-game sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics, and the Miami Heat couldn’t help but engage in a bit of Jimmy Butler-related trolling at the Sixers’ expense.

As Philadelphia’s season came to a close, the Heat’s official Twitter account tweeted out a Butler appreciation post:

Butler, of course, played for the Sixers last season after his trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was instrumental in getting Philadelphia to the brink of the Eastern Conference Finals, only to fall just short thanks to Kawhi Leonard’s heroics.

After the heartbreaking defeat, Butler took his talents to South Beach and helped turn around the Heat after a rough 2018-19 season. Miami is now on the verge of advancing to the second round of this year’s playoffs, with Butler’s sterling play playing a key role. The Heat are a win away from sweeping away the Indiana Pacers.

The Sixers badly missed Butler’s two-way prowess throughout their disappointing 2019-20 campaign. The stud swingman has made cryptic comments about his exit from Philly, and recent rumors claim Sixers head coach Brett Brown played a role in Butler’s departure. Joel Embiid has also admitted he was upset about losing Butler.

Whatever happened with Jimmy Butler, Philadelphia compounded the issue by also losing JJ Redick and giving out $289 million in contracts to Al Horford and Tobias Harris. The Sixers never meshed all season long, and the injury to Ben Simmons that knocked him out for the season was the final nail in the coffin.

There will likely be big changes coming in Philly this offseason.
