When Grover Cleveland ran for president, he fathered a child out of wedlock. The Republicans reacted by creating cartoons that read, "Ma Ma where's Pa?" After the election, Cleveland responded by saying, "On the way to the White House, ha, ha, ha."
At Trump's rallies, he has referred to people as slime, scum and sleazy. I then watched some people of faith clap and laugh when he mimicked and mocked a reporter with physical disabilities. I shook my head and thought how people of faith would find that funny.
During the Vietnam War, Trump was classified 1-Y on five separate occasions due to bone spurs in his foot. Years later, in an interview with Howard Stern, he was asked why he didn't serve in Vietnam. He replied, "I was too busy avoiding sexually transmitted diseases in New York City; that was my Vietnam." Then, he and Stern started laughing.
I'll tell you what isn't funny: 58,220 American soldiers were killed in that war. Many soldiers came home wounded, suffering from PTSD, and with the ill-effects of Agent Orange. Recently, a reporter asked him what foot the bone spur was on and he replied, "I don't remember."
Seventeen intelligence agencies told our nation that Russia interfered in the 2016 Presidential Election. However, standing next to Putin in Helsinki, Putin denied it and Trump believed him. I said to myself, "It's time to give Trump a nickname: 'Putin's snerfmerfer.’"
According to The Washington Post, Trump has told over 18,000 lies since he has become president, but I'm not going to call him a liar. In the Bible, God talked about Trump and people like him. He talks about them in Proverbs 6:16. It is what it is with President Trump.
