New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones broke off an 80-yard run in a 22-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, but he was unable to finish the scamper because the turf monster reached out and got him.
With a clear path to the end zone, Jones began to stumble around the Eagles’ 30-yard line before going down inside the 10.

“I just tried to run faster than I was running and I got caught up,” Jones told reporters matter-of-factly.
The Giants were able to salvage the drive thanks to a 1-yard touchdown run courtesy of Wayne Gallman.
“We finished the drive and scored a touchdown. That was a relief to me for sure,” said Jones, who clocked 21.23 mph on the run.
Unsurprisingly, however, Giants Twitter did not care one bit that New York finished the drive with a score. No, no … instead, it was all about Jones taking a tumble in the open field.
