Tua Tagovailoa trolls Georgia ahead of showdown against Alabama - Saturday Down South

cucun.indah.link

During his Alabama career, Tua Tagovailoa made some memorable throws in the Crimson Tide’s meetings with Georgia. Saturday morning, the former UA quarterback cited the down and distance of the biggest play of his career to troll UGA.

Tagovailoa tweeted “Roll Tide,” followed by an elephant emoji and an attempted hashtag “#2&26.” On Twitter, it’s not a clickable hashtag if it starts with a digit after the “#” but you don’t really need a clickable hashtag anyway when you have over 352,000 followers.

The numbers, of course, refer to Tagovailoa’s pass to DeVonta Smith on second-and-26 in overtime of the national championship game against Georgia. Smith caught a perfectly thrown ball from Tagovailoa to give Alabama the 26-23 walk-off win in Atlanta.

Tagovailoa will be watching from a distance as his Miami Dolphins prepare for a Sunday game against the New York Jets. Smith remains a key member of the Crimson Tide. The wide receiver will look to add to his already impressive 2020 stat line of 27 catches, 316 yards and 2 touchdowns catching passes from Tagovailoa’s former backup, Mac Jones.

Tagovailoa will presumably be one of the many football fans tuning in to CBS at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT to watch No. 2 and No. 3 face-off in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
