2020 United States Presidential election memes: Your much-needed moment of levity - AL.com

Those lines around the corner you stood in to vote for the 2020 Presidential election are long gone, but it appears the waiting is just beginning.
A day after we headed to the polls, neither President Donald Trump nor Democratic candidate Joe Biden cleared the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House.
The margins are tight in several battleground states.
Ballot counting, recounting, legal challenges and voting analysts breaking down electoral college maps are about as trying and frustrating as virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unlike in previous years, states were contending with an avalanche of mail-in ballots driven by the global pandemic. Every election, what’s reported on election night are unofficial results, and the counting of votes extends past Election Day. This year, with so many mail-in ballots and close races in key states, counting every vote was expected to take more time.
But enough about all of that, take a few minutes and enjoy this moment of levity.
After the year we’ve had, there aren’t enough adult beverages in the world to take the edge off. Maybe these memes will.
And, of course, who could forget the Electoral college map memes. They deserve a category all on their own, don’t you think?
Hang in there, folks. This, too, shall pass.
