President Donald Trump demanded to “STOP THE COUNT!" in the 2020 Presidential Election as he started losing ground in key states on the road to 270 electoral votes.
Of course, that cannot be done and many people on social media used the phrase to poke fun at Trump. One of the latest to do so was comedian and TBS late night talk show host Conan O’Brien. Unfortunately for Buffalo Bills fans, the Super Bowl Bills teams found their way into O’Brien’s punch line.
Sigh.
The wounds are still fresh, Conan.
As Bills fans have been reminded through numerous jokes over the years, Buffalo went to four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 90s but failed to walk away with a championship.
Whether or not O’Brien was aware, Buffalo did not lead in any of the Super Bowls after the third quarter. They led at halftime against the Giants (Super Bowl XXV), but lost their lead in the third quarter. The team did not lead Washington at any point during Super Bowl XXVI and while the team held brief leads against the Dallas Cowboys in the next two Super Bowls, both were erased by the third quarter.
