And the number of applications continues to grow, with many appearing to be “opportunistic” trademark applications. One, for example, seeks to register “COVID-19 VIRUS FREE GUARANTEED” for apparel and other consumer goods. Another seeks to register “COVIDFREE” for antibacterial goods.
