TikTok and Twitter users have trolled President Trump once again, this time by calling into his campaign’s bogus voter fraud hotline with hilarious fake reports.
On Friday, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani posted information for a voter fraud hotline that people to help “#STOPtheSTEAL” — prompting many Twitter and Tiktok users to seize the opportunity and call in prank reports. The post came one day before news outlets declared Democratic opponent Joe Biden winner of the 2020 election, though Republicans have continued to support Trump’s unwavering intent to challenge the results.
TikTok user @caitlynjk95 posted a video of herself telling the hotline operator that a man with red skin and horns challenged her to a fiddle competition while she was in line to vote, cheekily alluding to the Charlie Daniels Band song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia."
“I was in line to vote and, like, there was this guy there — and I don't know that this is considered fraud or anything — but he was there, and he challenged me to a fiddle competition," she explained.
This isn’t the first time social media users banded together to troll Trump. TikTok users and K-pop stans in July reserved tickets to Trump’s Juneteenth rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with no intention of going, to drive down turnout at the event.
Since he was elected in 2016, Trump has continuously touted unsubstantiated claims about voter fraud — including that mail-in voting makes it easier to commit fraud.
