Willie,
I’m a substitute teacher at Walhalla Elementary. I would like to brag about what a fantastic job the faculty and staff as well as the custodians are doing — going above and beyond with their thorough cleaning practices. No visitors are allowed into the schools due to COVID. Being a sub, I have seen firsthand the extreme
measures and precautions being taken to keep our children safe, as well as the teachers and staff. These kiddos truly are resilient and have a spirit to be admired. They are rolling with the punches 2020 has dealt and thriving in an environment safe and full of love. Teachers are putting the students’ emotional needs first, knowing their educational needs will fall into place. For those of you who aren’t in the schools directly, I assure you the staff and teachers’ main priority is the safety of your child along with their well being. Thank you so much to the amazing faculty and staff at WES and all the other schools for all you do during these uncertain times.Willie says:
I appreciate your writing and sharing your experience as a substitute educator in one of our local schools. I have so much admiration for everyone now who works in our schools under these challenging conditions! God bless them all for their dedication to our kids and for going above and beyond in every way.
Willie,
Although the bozo brain butt scratchers are going to find fault with what I have to say, here goes. I was watching comedian Chris Rock’s “Everybody Hates Chris” sitcom. He had an awful rough time growing up. I’ve noticed comedians seem to all have had a rough childhood growing up. I guess comedy is a survival mode the human mind goes into. Sad.
Willie says:
I can’t say one way or the other if you’re right or not about all comedians having a rough childhood. Ya see, I’ve never been one that enjoyed listening to someone else stand there and tell jokes. I can see where making fun of bad situations would make good material for a comedian though. I mean if a person grows up in a fairy tale kind of childhood, what’s funny about that?
‘Til next time!
Willie
