There are many Pokemon types to love and adore in the Pokemon games. Psychic, Flying, Dragon, Dark, and others are the favorites of many dedicated fans. The types, at their core, exist to make Pokemon battles more complex and strategic, but everyone knows that their best purpose is to inspire the creation of some really cool-looking creatures.
Things look cooler when they are one fire. Starting from the Charmander evolution tree in the first generation, fans have been treated to some awesome fiery monsters. And, as should be expected, the fans have shown their appreciation in one of the best ways possible: by creating some hilarious memes about them.
10 Sorry, Wrong FireFighters
There seems to have been a very unfortunate misunderstanding about these Pokemons' abilities. That or the people have no idea of what a firefighter actually is or does. The three Pokemon that showed up to save the day are quite possibly the last Pokemon anyone would ever want to see in a situation like this.
At least they seem to mean well. Sure, all that Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar can really do in this situation is set the building even more on fire, but maybe they can provide some moral support. They can either be therapy animals or a source of trauma. There is no in-between.
9 So Majestic
Many fans have dreamed of seeing Pokemon in real life, but if this is how it would work, then it might be a good idea for it to remain a dream. The dog, or the Arcanine in this situation, looks like it's enjoying itself, but a reality where there would be flaming furballs running around everywhere would make for a very unsafe society.
There are simply too many ways this could go wrong in real life. Imagine being a mailman and seeing a fiery dog running after you at full speed. Good luck getting the mail after it's been burned to a crisp.
8 Everyone's Been There
Of course, Charizard is the cool kid in this situation. Charizard is Charizard-levels of cool. Yes, it sets the standard for coolness. Anyone who wasn't the cool kid in school can understand this picture. No offense to Oshawott, but in school, when the coolest of the cool kids comes around, the comparison of Oshaw0tt to Charizard is the most accurate thing.
Even a crocodile wearing sunglasses can't beat Charizard in the coolness factor. As weird as it is to think about, it's a good thing Charizard doesn't wear sunglasses too. The world's not ready for that level of cool.
7 Everyone Had Better Hope This Isn't Accurate
This Pokedex entry has to be wrong. Because the other option is that Magcargo is the epitome of the Fire types, and the world of Pokemon should be a charred husk. If Magcargo's body temperature is 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit, or around 9980 degrees Celsius, then this little snail burns hotter than the earth's core. That's pretty hot.
It's clearly not the case, but that doesn't make the Magcargo situation much better for the people around it, especially the trainers. Someone at some point thought Magcargos burned as hot as lava. And in the Pokemon world, children keep them as pets and look for ways to make them fight.
6 Looks Like Pizza Hut Has Found A New Mascot
Even with one of them being a literal ice cream cone, no Pokemon has ever looked so delicious. Game Freak probably wasn't inspired by cheesy excellence when designing the terrifying legendary, but it's not hard to imagine that some artist was nearing their lunch break when choosing the mighty Groudon's color scheme.
What's surprising is that no pizza company, Nintendo, or Game Freak noticed this after the fact and tried to make some advertising deals to capitalize on it. Companies use Pokemon to sell anything, so why not do the same with pizza?
5 Picking A Fire-Type Starter Is Hard Mode
It's been a fact of life ever since the original Pokemon Red and Blue: If you pick the Fire-type starter, you're picking the game's hard mode. It's a rough life for Fire-type enthusiasts, but when the reward is eventually to own a Charizard or an Incineroar, they know it's worth it.
This poor Torchic isn't thrilled about the road ahead, but it will evolve into the ever-amazing Blaziken before too long, so it will just have to hope that its trainer has plenty of Potions to give it in the meantime.
4 Moving From Being The Best In The Minors To Being So-So In The Majors
Take it from Mewtwo, being a fantastic Pokemon in the Pokemon games does not automatically mean a Pokemon will be equally fantastic in the Super Smash Bros. games. It's a whole other world once they cross into that free-for-all packed with everyone's favorite franchises.
Incineroar, the luchador-inspired Pokemon, can perform a vast number of useful and powerful attacks in his own games, and it brought those move over to Smash. The problem is, those moves don't mean anything when Incineroar is one of the slowest characters in the game. There's also the issue of its underwhelming recovery. Those combined, there's little hope for Incineroar to go far in a fast-paced competitive scene like the one that Smash has.
3 Such Disrespect For The Fan-Favorite Fire Breather
Most people understand that their parents don't or won't understand their interests. Many Pokemon fans accept that no matter how hard they try to explain it, their parents will only ever know what a handful of the Pokemon species are. And one of those select few will always be Pikachu, so the list is actually even smaller.
No one can blame the parents for not memorizing every detail of their kids' hobbies, but some things are inexcusable. If any parent truly ever disrespected the coolest not-a-dragon Pokemon in such a manner, they should be ready for verbal Flare Blitz to come their way.
2 Oh, How Hilarious
Hey, with Game Freak's obsession with adding new forms, regional variants, and versions of older Pokemon, this meme might end up being more prophetic than punny. Yes, even the Ohio one. Game Freak needs to run out of ideas eventually, and if they're willing to make a Pokemon based on house keys, they're willing to take inspiration from geography.
It's appropriate that Ho-Oh is inspired by the phoenix, because the jokes about his name constantly find new life. The Ho-Oh's name jokes have enjoyed comedic success for the past two decades, but this one is a bit more special due to the sheer amount of pun options.
1 A Diet Has To Start Somewhere
True health starts with mental health. Sure, an exercise session might be ruined by the worst possible dinner choice that immediately preceded it, but if you still feel good after, you'll get back at it tomorrow.
Anyone would love to have the same energy as this Torchic after a full day of eating and pretending to exercise. One of the first and most important steps that those on a diet need to do is visualize the body they want to attain. Torchic's clearly done that. The only real concern is why this bird was eating chicken nuggets.
