"Bridgerton" Viewers Caught a Funny Filming Inaccuracy - Teen Vogue

Lady Whistledown is definitely enjoying her break between Bridgerton seasons, because the latest bit of gossip stemming from the Netflix series was spotted by fans.

Since its debut, the buzz surrounding Bridgerton has been nonstop. Becoming the fifth most popular Netflix series ever created, the Regency-era tales of romance and gossip have struck a chord with viewers. While many have talked favorably of the fashions and casting, one scene has unfortunately fallen victim to a filming mistake that's all too familiar to Game of Thrones fans.

While no Starbuck cups have yet been spotted in the background of Bridgerton, some eagle-eyed fans did notice a scene featuring some definite modern-day influence. As the Digital Spy notes, fans on Twitter have pointed out some yellow roadway lines that accidentally made their way into the background of filming.

Bridgerton is set in the 1800s, meaning that in this particular instance, the town was way ahead of the street infrastructure curve. Another viewer also spotted some manhole covers, tweeting, “I didn't realise the 19th Century Brits were such pioneers...” And according to the Mirror, there have been sightings of no parking signs, too.

Despite the unexpected inclusion of some more modern-day influences, it's clear that Bridgerton did try its hardest in capturing the 1800s. Even the wigs were carefully planned and inspired by the past, and these few snafus aside, the series has seen its share of success, already earning a second season from the streaming service

For those new to the Bridgerton buzz, the series is produced by Shonda Rhimes, and was adapted from a series of books written by Julia Quinn. Season one of the series focused on the tale of unexpected romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Season two will change direction, instead focusing on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his quest to find to find his viscountess.
