Mitch Richmond's funny answer for how he would defend Steph originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
Steph Curry is extremely difficult to defend.
Pretty incredible analysis, right?
So how would former Warriors shooting guard Mitch Richmond defend the three-time NBA champion?
"First -- by changing the rules," he said in a joking manner Tuesday on 95.7 The Game's "Damon, Ratto & Kolsky" show. "We gotta play like when I played. I gotta be physical with him, I gotta handcheck him, I gotta push him around, when he goes in the lane he's gotta be bumped.
"With these rules, he's truly unguardable. You hope to try to just get a hand up when he shoots, you try to keep him in front of you. And that's hard to do."
Curry is averaging 30.9 points and 5.8 assists over his last 44 games, while shooting 49.1 percent overall and 42.5 percent from beyond the arc on 11.8 attempts.
And for the 100th time -- what differentiates him from the other elite scoring guards in the league is that he does a lot of his damage running around off screens. The two-time NBA MVP doesn't need to dominate the ball or get 100 high ball screens to make an impact.

"He's a guy without the ball, he continues to keep moving like Chris Mullin," Richmond added. "Constantly. You can't get a grip of where he's gonna be on the court.
"He has mastered every shot on the court, and that's why he's such a dangerous player."
