Girlfriend of Celtic ace Leigh Griffiths has hit back at a cruel online troll who branded her 'hideous'.
Caitlyn Melville took to social media to expose 'nasty' messages she received from an account after she had uploaded a stunning selfie.
In a post on her Instagram story, the Scots beauty shared a screenshot of a series of DMs as she confronted the troll who called her 'hideous'.
The troll was forced to apologise after being called out over the message - as Caitlyn called for people on social media to 'be kind'.
She responded to the nasty message and wrote: "Hi, I'm sorry you don't like this picture. Could I ask why you feel the need to contact me and leave this horrible message?"
The troll replied: "Sorry should have explained you do look stunning but felt you've went too dark on your face x".
Caitlyn responded: "Ah that didn't come across when you wrote 'hideous'. Have a nice day."
The 27-year-old dental nurse, from Linlithgow, said the messages were "not what she needed to wake up to" as she reiterated the Be Kind movement.
Alongside the screenshot, she wrote: "Will never understand why people feel the need to go out their way to be nasty.
"Social media has made a lot of people comfortable with being nasty to people they don't even know.
"This was not what I needed to wake up to this morning but I hope you enjoy your day nonetheless #bekind."
Caitlyn has been dating the Celtic striker for three years, and they recently moved into their new lavish Bothwell pad together.
Caitlyn stood by her man last year when he took time off from kicking a ball to focus on his mental health.
Speaking about his battle, Caitlyn said: "Nobody will ever truly understand what you went through, probably not even me, and I was with you through it all.
"It’s hard to sum up the emotions I felt yesterday standing in the stand, watching you repay the fans for their loyalty and continued belief and also silence the critics who have written you off time and time again..."
She added: "You continued to push through your illness whilst stupid songs were being chanted and even more ridiculous rumours were being made up, worst of all newspapers printing them to try and create the narrative or pinpoint the reason for your mental struggles - for that alone I am incredibly proud of you."
